Parish Renewal

March 18 | 19 | 20, 2024

Sometimes the world feels broken. Things don’t seem to fit together. Our own lives can feel that way as well. Lent is a time to bring what’s broken in our lives to Christ. It’s also an opportunity to celebrate God’s forgiveness and active presence in our world.

Our parish is having a Lenten Renewal guided by Sr. Patricia Bruno, OP and Fr. Jude Siciliano, OP. Our time together will focus on the Psalms, the ancient prayers that Jesus prayed and knew by heart. With eloquence and simplicity the Psalms address our own and the world’s many needs.

Even though the Psalms are ancient biblical prayers, they address the issues of our lives, and the needs of our world. We pray them at Eucharist, weddings, baptisms, and funeral services because they express the deep emotions of our human hearts. Each day, we will gather for morning Eucharist, followed by an informal scriptural reflection. In the evening we will meet for evening prayer, preaching and a special Lenten ritual. These days of community prayer will not only help us deepen our faith, but also affirm and support the gifts we have to share with one another.

Come join us for all or as many services as possible!
