Music Ministry

CANTORS: Cantors, as the primary song leaders, guide the sung prayer of the worshiping community at Mass.  They are good examples of worship through singing and encourage the active participation of the community.  Cantors are auditioned and prepared by the Music Minister.

CHILDREN & YOUTH CHOIR: The Children & Youth Choir is comprised of boys and girls in 2nd through 12th grades who enjoy singing.  The group sits in the choir area and helps lead the worshiping community in sung prayer at the 4:00pm Christmas Eve Liturgy.  The Children & Youth Choir rehearses in the Church after the 11:00am Sunday Mass a few Sundays prior to Christmas Eve.  The current registration form will have the specific rehearsal dates.

ADULT CHOIR: Along with the Cantor, the Adult Choir supports and enhances the melody line sung by the worshiping community.  They may also sing selections alone intended to enrich liturgy and reflect more deeply on the scripture readings or liturgical season.  The Adult Choir rehearses in the Church on Thursday evenings at 7:00pm and Sunday mornings at 10:00am.

INSTRUMENTALISTS: Our instrumentalists enhance the song of the worshipping community by adding varied and colorful dimensions.  They rehearse alongside the Adult Choir at either the Thursday evening or Sunday morning rehearsal.
