Welcome to Confirmation Preparation 2023!

The Sacrament of Confimation completes our intiation into the Catholic Church, strengthening our bond with the Church and helping us to bear witness to the Christian faith in our words and deeds. In the Diocese of Richmond, Confirmation is typically celebrated when a teen is age 15 and/or in the 10th grade. Preparation for the Sacrament includes participation in regular Christian Formation/Youth Group as well as additional Confirmation preparation sessions and a retreat. If your teen is in 10th grade and enrolled in St. Ann's Christian Formation/Youth Group your child is automatically enrolled in Confirmation preparation. If your teen attends Catholic School and their Christian Formation is part of their academic curriculum, they only need to be registered for Confirmation preparation. You can register them for Confirmation preparation using the regular Christian Formation registration form and writing "Confirmation Prep Only" on your form.
