Knights of Columbus Thank You

Parishioners of St Ann’s and St Mary’s of the Annunciation
Dear Friends and Family,
The past year has been an “interesting” experience for all of us. As we’ve all had to come to terms with the new normal of wearing masks, vaccines, and missing loved ones that we could not visit or worse, lost to the insidious virus, it became clear that what has helped keep us together as a community was our faith in God and love for one another.
As Grand Knight for your Knight of Columbus Council for the past two years, I have had the privilege of serving with some of the best Catholic Gentlemen within our midst. Their unwavering faith and drive to do the right thing for their families, friends, churches and our community has been inspiring.
But none of what we accomplished over the past 12 months would have been possible without your support. We are so grateful to be surrounded by such a loving and generous community. Because of you, we were able to meet all of our charitable goals.
Our first goal is that every penny in, is a penny that goes back out. Here are some of the items that your support made possible:
•    $2750 in Scholarships for 6 or our local youths.
•    $1000 to each parish during the pandemic to help with normal expenses
•    6 cartons of coats for kids
•    $300 for our Veterans
•    $250 for Ashland Circles
•    $300 for Rise against Hunger
•    $600 in Christmas donations
•    $200 for Special Olympics
•    $1100 for KOVAR (providing training and assistance to citizens with intellectual disabilities)
•    $5000 towards a new ultrasound machine for Choices Women's Center

Once again we thank you for a successful year and hope that we can continue to serve our parishes for many years to come.
Warm regards,
Don Montag
Past Grand Knight - Council 7538
