Our Church will celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi on June 10/11 weekend. Corpus Christi, also called the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, celebrates Christ's True Presence in the Eucharist that we consume at Mass. When we eat of His Body we take Christ into our bodies so that we might be transformed into a creation more like Christ. As Christians partaking in the Eucharist we are accepting the mission of our Church. Christ commissioned us to care for one another and most especially, the poor and needy around us.
At. St. Ann's, we plan to honor the celebration of this sacred feast by donating $12,000 to host an event to pack 30,024 meals for our hungry brothers and sisters around the world. We need your help to make our goal.
How can you help?
If you are able, consider making a monetary donation toward our $12,000 needed to fund our packing event on June 10th.
We will need over 150 volunteers to make our packing goal! There are opportunities for most ages (age 4 and up) during multiple blocks of time:
- Pre-Teens and Adults may help set up for our event from 7:00am-8:30am.
- Children, age 4 through Adults to pack the food from 8:30am-10:30am
- Pre-Teens and Adults may help with clean up from 10:30-11:30am
If you are not available on June 10th, we will also need a crew to help with pre-event Parish Hall preparations on Friday, June 9th at 5:00pm. You can email Patti Kamper at pattikamper@stannscc.org to sign up for the pre-event preparation team.
